The rough drafts for year 1 of my short fiction series are complete! The excitement is real and true.
Now begins the task of proofreading/editing. And the other stuff that goes along with the series: a couple of art things and marketing things. All the things!
My least favorite part of this will likely be writing 17 short descriptions. However, I’m reviewing my copy of How to Write a Sizzling Synopsis by Bryan Cohen, so hopefully, that will give me some direction. I did read it before, but it has been a while.
I don’t plan to write a full synopsis for each story. That seems excessive, don’t you think?
Anyway, I’m pushing the launch/release date out a smidge. I just want to make sure that everything is super-ready. I think my last estimate was July-ish? Well, I have a vacation in July, and I want to give myself plenty of time to get all the duckies lined up.
August 4th, first Sunday in August – This is the date! Ebook only. Audio and print will come later. I’ll post the release announcement with a link that Monday.
Between now and then, I’ll probably post the cover art minus series title. Coming up with the series title took me 3 months, so I won’t take the chance of anyone stealing it. I will probably register it as a trademark because I don’t want to have to spend another 3 months coming up with another name. It’s mine, I tell you! MINE!
Now, let’s have cake.
