Partial Completion and a Preorder

Hey there! I have not one, but TWO exciting updates today.

First: the all-important audiobook update. All first-round editing sessions are now complete. All initial bits that needed to be rerecorded have been rerecorded. Next step is to patch those puppies in. I’m not doing that today because I have different tasks to attend to.

I also have a preorder! Wild Spirits of the Hollow is now available on Amazon for $1.99. The price will go up when the book comes out.

If you’re a blogger and/or a reviewer, I am planning a blog tour. If you’d like to sign up and snag an advance reader copy, be sure to check out the blogger/reviewer page here.

Here’s some info on the book and the link to the preorder. The book comes out 8/28/2018.

Shannon lies to almost everyone she meets. When she gets lost and winds up trapped in an Appalachian valley village, her lies don’t get her far.

Mistwalk Vale may look like a fairy-tale, but nightmares lurk in the shadows. Villagers are dying grisly deaths, their bodies reduced to bones and left in the streets for their friends and family to find. Worse, some people suspect that Shannon is involved. They accuse her of coming from the tribe of vicious earth witches down in the hollow.

A man named Owen believes Shannon is innocent. He tries to protect her as best he can, but there’s only so much he can do. She feels herself falling for him, despite her plan to leave as soon as she gets an opportunity.

Caught between angry mobs and an ancient darkness, she will be forced to fight for her survival. Can she save herself and the village before evil consumes them all?

flying books

I go through long spans of time during which nothing really seems to move. I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels, hoping to gain some traction. Then, all of a sudden, rapid fire events occur. This week is leaning toward rapid fire.

I have a review/interview about Pestilence Rising at over at Holly U’s blog, Part of that World.

Here is the link to that.

Another review at Hello-BookLover.tumblr.com

Also, I am equally excited to announce that an audiobook for What the Dead Fear is out. An audiobook! It was narrated by the talented Holly Jackson and is available AT THIS LINK.

I think that’s all for now. I have another announcement for an event in October, but I think I’ll hold off on that for now. No need to tack that business into this business.

interviewing

Current status: listening to the sound of the sky hurling ice chips at the exterior of my house and watching a teenager do her homework and also this wondrous thing listed below.

Blogger and author Penny Lockwood Ehrenkranz was kind enough to allow me to visit her patch of cyberspace for an interview! I hope you’ll head on over and check out her blog.

I also hope this ice doesn’t knock our power out.

no movie post today

because I have book things! plus we ended up turning off our Netflix movie because it was really boring.
Tomorrow is a big day – the release of the second AnnaBeth book – Devil in the Branch! I have some fun stuff planned for this week.

First up, an excerpt. The first five chapters of the book are available for reading on Scribd. Here is a link.

Also, I’m pleased to share that my interview with Darcia Helle from earlier this year is in her new ebook: A Word Please, Conversations with 24 Authors

It’s available as a free download on her website at the link below.

Be sure to check out Darcia’s books and of course, the other authors in the book in A Word Please.

That’s all I have for now.

interviews and such

Happy Wednesday! I’m sitting here listening to thunder and lightning outside. The laptop is running on the battery in case of power surge.

I have two, yes two, interviews up at separate places today. I hope that you will take the time to read them.

This first one is at the Great Minds Think Aloud blog. It includes a really ginormous picture of me squinting in the sun. lol

The second one is up at Morgen Bailey’s blog.

thoughts on blog touring

I’ve only got a couple of stops left on the blog tour. There are two stops left next week, and that will be it. I had a lot of fun.

I think that blog touring shouldn’t just be a one-shot deal. In order to really be effective, guest posting needs to be a thing I do on a semi-regular basis. So, I’ll probably be around even after the Wyrm tour is “over”.  I like doing it anyway, so why stop?
I also had a great idea that I’m angry with myself for not coming up with sooner. Usually at the bottom of a guest post, there are links to buy the book and to my blog, etc. I decided to start including a Goodreads link so people can add it to their shelves for possible reading later. I might add the Goodreads links to my website too, while I’m at it.
